Synopsis:
An idyllic remote Irish fishing village is invaded by enormous tentacled creatures from the sea who are picking off the villagers one at a time. The inhabitants learn that the one thing the creatures don’t like is alcohol – it makes people taste horrible. They realize that in order to stay alive, they’re going to have to get as drunk as possible…! Starring top British and Irish talent including Richard Coyle, Russell Tovey and Bronagh Gallagher, Grabbers is directed by Jon Wright and produced by the team behind 2009′s indi-thriller Tormented.
Technical Details:
Grabbers was shot on the RED in Ireland during the Spring of 2011, with Molinare then assuming full post production duties in September - Gareth Spensley was appointed as Colourist, Dan Johnson as Re-Recording Mixer and Justin Eely as Online Editor. Molinare VFX are also completing a proportion of the VFX shots alongside NVizible.
Awards and Nominations:
Grabbers had its World Premiere at Sundance 2012 in the festival’s Park City at Midnight selection.
